A nice example of a six plank oak coffer. 18th century. Original strap hinges. Locking lid and locking interior valuables drawer. Original lock escutcheon missing. Evidence of an old name plate to lid and of security bolts.
Good condition comenserate with age. Some moulding missing to top right hand corner - as photographed.
Possibly used as a sword trunk.
